Orlando – a world of dreams 20 January 2020

The sixty-second ASH conference took place on 5-8 December 2019 in Orlando. This is one of the largest haematological events in the USA. As Orlando hosts a number of medical events on regular basis, we would like to introduce participants to the non-medical attractions of this city. Every year Orlando is visited by a sky-high number of 51 million tourists and so hotel and catering services are at a very high level. Of course, most tourists associate the city with Disney World opened in the 1950s, certainly a recognizable tourist brand all over the world. Above all, however, Orlando is home to 19 theme parks including the Magic Kingdom of Disney, Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal’s Adventure Island, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Universal Orlando Resort, Sea World, Walt Disney World Resort, Star Wars Launch Bay, Icon Park and many others. One can also find some famous museums, e.g. Madame Tussauds Orlando, the Holy Land Experience, Titanic exhibition or an art museum. There are 8 nature reserves and numerous parks for all nature lovers. Orlando is a place where you cannot get bored, so if you are going to attend any conference in the area, we recommend extending your stay by a few days to discover the full potential of this city.
